At the National Water Conservancy Work Conference held on January 5–6, it was announced that in 2025, China’s total investment in water conservancy projects will reach 1.2848 trillion yuan, marking the fourth consecutive year in which annual investment in water infrastructure has exceeded one trillion yuan.

According to data recently released by the Ministry of Finance, national general public budget expenditures have continued to grow. From January to May, total general public budget spending reached 11.2953 trillion yuan, up 4.2% year on year. To thoroughly implement the Law on the Construction of Barrier-Free Environments, further enhance the quality of urban barrier-free infrastructure, and coordinate the development of age-friendly facilities, thereby creating a safe, convenient, continuous, and inclusive barrier-free and age-friendly environment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban–Rural Development recently issued the “Notice on Further Strengthening the Construction of Urban Barrier-Free Facilities.” The notice covers ten key areas.
